Doncaster Junior Football Club was represented at the 2024 AFL Brownlow Medal  count! The YJFL provides the opportunity for our players to attend the 2024 Brownlow Medal Red Carpet Experience at Crown Towers in Melbourne.

DJFC players were seated in the ‘grandstand’ at the entrance of Crown Towers to watch and interact with the players and guests as they arrived. Our players were there to witness their hero AFL stars as they were interviewed  by the various media.

The dress code for the event was specified as “Business casual – you will be shown on the Broadcast, so dress to impress!”. DFJC took on that assignment with our boys and girls all dressed elegantly, balancing formal attire with their favourite AFL team colours!

There is always a real buzz around Crown when the Brownlow is on. Our players absorbed it all, seeing the parade of AFL stars, enjoying and commenting on the amazing fashion being showcased and some even lucky enough to get a photo with one of their footy heroes. The 2024 AFL Brownlow Media Red Carpet Experience was shown on several media outlets including the Channel 7 news and Sunrise, where our DJFC representatives could watch further watch their 15 minutes of fame!

Access to this Brownlow medal event, rounded off a successful 2024 for ‘AFL size events’ for DJFC which also included a highly successful regional Collingwood Football Club Player Visit to Schramm’s!
